Supreme Buddhist leaders
Under the slogan of “Revert to the original teachings of Lord Buddha,” the supreme Buddhist leaders
in the world assembled to celebrate the inauguration of the Royal Grand Hall of Buddhism in Japan,
the terminal point of Silk Road, where Buddhism that gradually spread eastward from ancient India reached at last.

Chief Guests of Honor were T.M. King Father Norodom Sihanouk
and Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
In addition to the supreme Buddhist leaders in the world,
attended the ceremony were T.E. the heads of state, national leaders, kings,
ministers, ambassadors, as well as renowned cultural figures, totaling about 300 guests.

Information for visitors
The Royal Grand Hall of Buddhism, the Head Temple of Nenbutsushu Buddhist Sect of Japan,
welcomes visitors for a guided tour of the temple, in which our monks explain the teachings of Buddhism, free of charge.
In order to avoid overcrowding, visitors need to reserve in advance.
Requests for reservation are answered on the first come, first served basis.
